Welcome to Dogwood Family Campground
We are a small family owned, open year round, family & pet friendly, quiet, "Dark Sky Friendly" campground in Newport, NC. Enjoy being tucked away beside the Croatan Forest and only a short drive (30 minutes) away from all the Crystal Coast beaches, Historical New Bern & Beaufort and (8 minutes from) MCAS Cherry Point many other local attractions.
We have 52 FHU sites with 9 extra long pull thru sites, 6 sites that back-up to the pond for extra closeness to cast a fishing line...the fish love to be fed in the mornings and evenings. Our pond is stocked with Catfish, Bass and Brim. Enjoy the new water fountain and lights at night, it is so relaxing. |

"A+++ A must visit campground!! The hospitality was amazing! Lisa and her husband were very polite and helpful with anything we asked. The campground was nice, clean and a very convenient location. We have never stayed anywhere that made us feel so welcomed. Oh and I cant forget the amazing fully stocked pond. My kids and my nephews all caught a fish in a matter of 15 minutes! Owners Shawn and Lisa are wonderful and very accommodating. When the weather was getting down to freezing, they came to my camper and fixed my water hose for me so my water did not freeze. All monthly campers must have a background check done prior to moving in which made me feel very safe. As a travel nurse, I will be recommending this campground to any travelers coming to this area.
